Milpitas
Milpitas, often called the “Crossroads of Silicon Valley,” is located on the north side of San Jose situated between two major freeways, interstate 880 and Interstate 680, and State Route 237. The City provides a multitude of outstanding recreational opportunities, including aquatics, cultural arts and theater, sports leagues, in addition to boasting more than 20 parks, the largest of which is Ed R. Levin County Park that contains a complex trail system more typical of large wilderness parks. Milpitas is home to the largest enclosed outlet mall in Northern California with more than 180 outlet stores and entertainment facilities. Close ties to Silicon Valley, have also given rise to excellent schools which is a huge draw for parents looking for a higher standard of education. Milpitas ranks as the top in the nation with the largest percentage of residents employed in the computer and electronic products industry.
